I have often pondered this question, so I resorted to Google and various AI's to get a definitive answer. The bad news is that I got many differing answers. Here are a few:
"You should aim for 2-4 posts a month."
"One of the biggest blogs in the world, Huffington Post, got its start by publishing one blog post every 58 seconds."
"Most experts agree that blogging two to four times per week is the best way to see increased traction from your content."
"As long as you say something useful and valuable, your readers will appreciate your blogging schedule, no matter what it is."
"The frequency depends on your website, your industry, and your target audience. However, a good guideline is to blog at least once a week."
The Huffington Post answer is amazing!. However; I personally tend towards a combination of the last two. So the good news is that a good blog post must contain useful and relevant content, and 2-4 times per week does seem to deliver, on balance, the best results to keep readers/subscribers engaged and informed. Which ultimately leads to them considering you and your services of value.
For improving brand awareness, HubSpot suggests for small blogs post one to two new posts per week, and for large blogs post three to four times per week. Bloggers who publish more often see better results. Those who post two to six times per week are most likely to report “strong results” (32% of respondents), followed by bloggers who post weekly (27%). Note: The study points out that “strong results” are “subjective and self-reported.” As the bloggers surveyed had diverse goals and objectives, they didn’t ask for specific success statistics.
